Generating a List of Knowledgebase Articles

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

Knowledgebase version 8.x and higher

PROCESS:

It is easy to create a list of all Knowledgebase Articles by using the Articles Report

  1. Log into the Knowledgebase Admin Control Panel.
  2. For Knowledgebase version 8.X and previous: Go to Reports then Articles.
  3. For Knowledgebase version 9.X and later: Go to Reports then Content and select Articles.
  4. Use the report filters to choose what articles you want, if you want all then leave all checked
  5. In the Display section you can specify the columns that you want in the report. For instance only check Article Number and Title if that's all you want to return.
  6. In the Sort section you can specify which column to sort the report. 
  7. Press the Search button.

The result will be a list of Knowledgebase articles.

At the top of the report are several actions that can be taken on the report

  • Save Query - Allows you to save the report settings so that it can be easily run again. The Saved Report Query can be accessed via Reports > Saved Reports in 8.X and previous or Reports > Content > Saved Reports in 9.X and later.
  • Save Results - Allows you to save the report results for later viewing within the Knowledgebase Admin Control Panel. The Saved Report Results can be accessed via Reports > Saved Reports in 8.X and previous or Reports > Content > Saved Reports in 9.X and later.
  • Print Report - Prints the report for offline viewing
  • Export to Excel - Saves the report in an .xls format for viewing in Microsoft Excel
