Unable to Apply New License to CIM Channels NetAgent

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

All versions of Moxie Channels NetAgent.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

Administrator is unable to apply new license due to Moxie Channels NetAgent because the old license has expired and the Moxie Channels Web Administrator will not open.

ROOT CAUSE:

If the license is not renewed before it expires, the NetAgent Service will not start in Services.

SOLUTION OR WORK AROUND:

  1. Contact your Account Manager to receive a new license key.
  2. Make sure NetAgenet service is stopped before proceeding.
  3. On the Application Server, click [START], then select Run. Type 'regedit' into the Run dialog box and click 'OK.'
  4. Navigate from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, to SOFTWARE.  Next find Talisma, then click on NetAgentServer. Under NetAgentServer should be the IP address of your server.
    Inside the IP address is the Current Version folder.

     
  5. Open the LICENSE key, enter the new key and click Save.
  6. Exit Regedit and restart the NetAgent Service.

AFFECTED SYSTEMS & USERS:

Moxie Channels NetAgent Administrators with an expired license.
