London Data Center Migration FAQ

Moxie is in the process of migrating UK hosted customer systems from our legacy data centers to AWS London's cloud site in effort to reduce reliance on traditionally deployed hosted systems and increase reliability. All hosted systems within our European data center will be migrated to the cloud in the London Region.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How much work is for the customer for this data center move?

    • The deployment plan is to create minimal impact to the customer

    • The only potential aspect which may require updating is any IP whitelisting.

  • Why is Moxie Cloud Services moving data centers?

    • This move is in effort so that Moxie can provide a better service that is faster and more reliable.

  • Can I choose to be in London or Dublin?

    • Initially, all migrations will move to the London site.  Afterwards contact your Moxie representative to discuss your preference in data centers.

  • What if a Customer has a VPN?

    • The Moxie Cloud Services Networking team will contact the customer to work with their networking team to migrate any VPNs.

  • Can a customer not move?

    • Unfortunately, everyone must move to the AWS London site as the old data center will be shut down after the migration has concluded.

  • Will the customer’s Moxie application URL change?

    • No, hosted system URLs will remain the same.  

  • Will the customer’s hosted server IP change?

    • The Private IP of the servers will remain the same.

    • The Public IP (DNS) of the application will change. However, we can share the Public IP with customers beforehand to add it to their firewall / whitelists in preparation for migration.

  • Will any of the Professional Services customizations have an impact?

    • Very unlikely, except those who have a SFTP solution.
