Unable to View Published Documents via the KB Admin Control Panel

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

Error when trying to view published documents in the KB Admin Control Panel:
"Page Cannot Be Displayed"

ROOT CAUSE:

This is generally a permissions issue relating to access to the KBData and KnowledgeBase.net directories located on the Knowledgebase Application Server.

SOLUTION OR WORK AROUND:

Check that appropriate permissions are configured for the KBData and Knowledgebase application directories:


  • Ensure that the IUSR account and Active directory users (if you are using Active directory) have full permissions on these directories.<
  • Also check the IUSR account permissions on IIS. If you are using active directories, check the permission for the IUSR account that has been set as anonymous access to the folder and check AccessFilter under client portal in IIS.
