Self-Defined Custom Colors in the KB Admin Control Panel

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

Knowledgebase version 8.3.x and earlier.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

It is not possible to set a font color to a self-defined custom color in the online editor on the KB Admin Control Panel.

ROOT CAUSE:

This is a known issue in the Knowledgebase 8 editor.

SOLUTION OR WORK AROUND:

It is possible to use custom colors by editing the text and using the Source tab when applicable. Upgrading to Knowledgebase 9 also fixes this error.

AFFECTED SYSTEMS & USERS:

Administrators wishing to use colors not provided in the standard palette.
