Preventing Articles from Appearing in the Hot Topics/Latest Articles Sections

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

Knowledgebase version 7.0 and later

PROCESS:

It is not possible to prevent individual articles from appearing in the Hot Topics or Latest Articles sections. However, you can customize the way they appear in the Portal.
  1. Log in to the KB Admin Control Panel using an administrator account.
  2. Under the Portal tab, click the Portal which needs to be customized.
  3. Click on the Configure link under Portal Customization section.
  4. Click on the Edit link for Portal Homepage Layout.
  5. Here, you can Enable/Disable the Module from appearing or not appearing in the Portal. Also, you can adjust the Order and the Layout in which these Modules appear.
  6. In version 8.3.2 and later you may also limit articles by number and/or date range as seen here:

AFFECTED SYSTEMS & USERS:

Knowledgebase users who wish prevent articles from appearing in the Hot Topics or Latest Articles sections of a Portal.
