Error Message When Accessing the Print Article Option in the Right Pane When Viewing a KB Article and Trying to Print

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

Unable to select and print from the Print option in the right pane of the customer facing portal when using Portal Style 1

Steps to reproduce:
1. In KB 8.3.2.21.2 access the Admin Panel.
2. Select the Portal tab
3. Select the name of the targeted portal
4. Select Portal Customization
5. Edit Portal style to equal #1
6. Save
7. Click the Portal tab, slide to the far right and click go to portal
8. Select a Knowledgebase article
7.  Then select Print in the right hand pane and a (javascript_error) on the bottom left corner of the page will manifest.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

·         Remote into the Knowledgebase application server

·         Make a backup of the file located at C:\ Program Files\Knowledgebase.Net\knowledgebase\applicationprogram\ui\http\CustomerPortal\display\1\kb\index.aspx.

·         Download the replacement file here, change the file extension to .aspx and drop it into the directory mentioned above.

 

This will resolve the issue.
