The WYSIWYG editor (which is the online editor in Knowledgebase 8.3.2) supports HTML 3.x. This has resulted in the use of deprecated tags and other HTML oddities in this version of the WYSIWYG editor, and is one of the reasons why it was replaced by the new editor in Knowledgebase 9.0.
Sample HTML code viewed in the WYSIWYG editor in Knowledgebase versions prior to 9.0 does not always display properly when published on the customer portal To correct this issue, use the following procedure:
1. Put the HTML you wish to publish into a text document and attach this document to the Knowledgebase article.
or
2. Take a screen shot of the HTML code you desire to place in the WYSIWYG editor and then reference the screen shot as an image file, which you place in the File Manager.
Ultimately, the only other solution to this HTML issue is to upgrade your Knowledgebase to at least 9.0, as the new editor allows for the display of HTML in the body of your Knowledgebase article.
