The Formatting or Style Applied Within the Article Shows Differently When Viewed in the Customer Portal

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

Knowledgebase 8.3.2 hotfix 4 upgraded from previous versions

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

There is a default style applied to the article content in the Customer portal.
If the user does not want the default style to be implemented, then please follow the workaround in this article.

ROOT CAUSE:

Code needed to be corrected in KB 8.3.2 hotfix 4

SOLUTION OR WORK AROUND:

1. Open the article.aspx file present in the following location:
:\Program Files\KnowledgeBase.Net\knowledgebase\applicationprogram\ui\http\CustomerPortal\display\4\kb

2. Take a backup of this file.

3. Now, in the article.aspx file, browse to the following lines:
" rel="stylesheet" />

<% if session("hasCustomCSS") then %>/psi/<%=session("CPid")%>/css/portal.css"/><% end if%>

4. Remove these two lines and save the article.aspx file.

5. Reopen Customer portal and browse the article.

AFFECTED SYSTEMS & USERS:

All Knowledgebase Users which have upgraded to 8.3.2 hotfix 4.
