Configuring Portal Feedback Notifications

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

Knowledgebase version 9.0 to 9.0.1 HF 3

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

Knowledgebase administrators are not receiving email notifications when feedback is submitted via the Portal Feedback Widget.

ROOT CAUSE:

Portal feedback is not designed to generate email notification. It is on the product roadmap, but not pinned to a specific release at this time.

SOLUTION OR WORK AROUND:

All feedback submitted via the Portal Feedback Widget is accessible via the Feedback Report in the Admin Panel. To run this report follow these steps:
  1. Log into the Admin Panel
  2. Click Reports tab
  3. Expand the Users section
  4. Click Feedback 
  5. Select the portal from the drop down menu
  6. Select the desired Users and Date Range
  7. Click Run Report

The design changed in Hotfix 4.  This became possible through a design change.  If you are a shared hosted Knowledgebase client on a shared hosted 9.0.1 hf 4 system or newer and you are still experiencing issues with getting this feature to work please contact support and reference TFS 51865.
