Article Template Code Appears in Parent Article after Running KBUpdateEmbeddedChildContent Scheduled Task

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

Knowledgebase 8.3.2 Hot Fix 4

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

After running the KBUpdateEmbededChildContent schedule task, the parent article content displays article template coding when the article is viewed from the Admin Control Panel.

ROOT CAUSE:

This is due to an incorrect template structure. The articleBody section within the template is case sensitive and must be entered as articleBody and not as ArticleBody.

SOLUTION OR WORK AROUND:

Solution:
  1. Download the parent template
  2. Open the template in Notepad
  3. Change  [[ArticleBody:  to  [[articleBody:  (i.e., change the letter A  to lowercase)
  4. Re-upload the template
  5. Initiate the “Article Template transfer”
  6. Run the “KBTemplateTransfer” task
  7. Create a new version of the Parent article. This issue will not occur again for all the articles created using this template
