Formatting or Style Applied in Article Content Shows Differently when Viewed in the Customer Portal

ISSUE DESCRIPTION:

The formatting or style applied in the article content area of the Admin Panel shows differently when viewed in Customer portal.

ROOT CAUSE:

There is a default style applied to the article content in the Customer portal. If you do not want the default style to be implemented, then please follow the workaround below.

SOLUTION OR WORK AROUND:

Workaround: 
  1. Open the article.aspx file present in the following location:
    :\Program Files\KnowledgeBase.Net\knowledgebase\applicationprogram\ui\http\CustomerPortal\display\4\kb
  2. Take a backup of this file. 
  3. Open the article.aspx file in Notepad, in the file, browse to the following lines:
    " rel="stylesheet" />
    <% if session("hasCustomCSS") then %>/psi/<%=session("CPid")%>/css/portal.css"/><% end if%>
  4. Remove these two lines and save the article.aspx file. 
  5. Reopen Customer portal and browse the article.

AFFECTED SYSTEMS & USERS:

Users attempting to view the article style or formatting correctly through the Portal.
