Locate the License Key Used to Activate the Knowledgebase

THIS ARTICLE APPLIES TO:

All versions of Knowledgebase.

PROCESS:

The license key can be located in the following location:
  1. Log on to your application server.
  2. Navigate to the path x:\Program Files\KnowledgeBase.Net\Setup (where x is the drive where your Knowledgebase is installed).
  3. Right click the kbapp.lic file and open with Notepad. The alphanumeric string withing this file is the license key.
Article 4052 provides instructions on how to apply your license key to your Knowledgebase.
